The door to the world of historical and literary Šumava is opened by a branch of the museum – the birth house of the writer Adalbert Stifter in Horní Planá.

The field station of experimental archeology on Křížový vrch with a special program for schools and the public offers experiential and educational programs focused on the popularization of archeology.

Wax museum Český Krumlov

Museum of historic motorcycles

In the Museum of Historic Motorcycles, history breathes on you at every turn. The museum is located in a listed building of the former mill. It was originally located on the ground floor of the Krumlov Mill building, where a stylish restaurant now operates.

In the museum you can see the original preserved merchant shop and the museum exhibition, which exhibits beautiful historic cash registers, coffee trays, calculating machines, various types of scales and packaging for food, beverages and cosmetics. Everything is complemented by a diverse display of advertisements and advertising banners made of paper, cardboard and, of course, enamelled and sheet metal advertising boards. Visitors very often use the opportunity to purchase faithful replicas of metal signs and other gift items related to the theme of the exhibition itself in the museum shop, which is also worth noting, as it was designed and manufactured as a functional replica of an old city shop with stone and glass counters. a large number of shelves, shelves, cabinets, cupboards, hangers and drawers.
Egon Schiele Art Center Český Krumlov

In addition to documentation on the life and work of Egon Schiele and a year-round exhibition of his work, the Egon Schiele Art Center offers an exchange exhibition of classical and contemporary art of the 20th century on an area of ​​3,000 m2. In the part of the museum complex, a number of generous studios were established for longer study and work stays of young artists from Eastern and Western Europe; studios are leased to ministries of culture or art institutions of various countries for ten years; there is also a suite for writers. The museum is complemented by an extensive museum shop and a traditional café with Czech specialties for artists and art lovers with a corresponding atmosphere.
Museum photo studio Seidl

The house is located in the city monument zone and was also declared an immovable cultural monument. The planned project aimed to repair the house, restore the interiors, furniture and preserved equipment of the photo studio, as well as conservation, digitization and archiving of the photographic work. The result of these works was to create a publicly accessible museum exhibition, which will consist of a permanent exhibition dedicated to the work of Josef and František Seidl, as well as spaces for exchange seasonal exhibitions. The museum was also to have a professional research facility and a center of Czech – German – Austrian understanding was to be established in the building.
Thanks to the high degree of authenticity and complexity, the Museum Fotoateliér Seidel is one of the truly unique in the world.
